The most important of all Seventh-day Adventist beliefs is the one that brings joy and assurance to Christians everywhere; the truth about our heavenly Father that was confirmed at such cost by the life and death of His Son.
We believe that God is not as His enemies have made Him out to be – arbitrary, unforgiving and severe. We accept the testimony of Jesus when he said, “If you have seen have seen Me, you have seen the Father.” God is just as loving and trustworthy as His Son, just as willing to forgive and heal. Though infinite in majesty and power, our Creator is equally gracious and values nothing higher than the freedom, dignity and individuality of His intelligent creatures – that their love, their faith, their willingness to listen and obey, may be freely given. This is the everlasting Good News that wins the trust and admiration of God’s loyal children throughout the universe.
We are amazed at how abundantly God is blessings the Cottonwood Church. Like any growing family we experience the challenges relative to growth. Our church has a continued commitment to the exciting task of creating an environment of worship that glorifies and praises God, while bringing joy and fulfillment to His children.

Q: Do I have to be a member to attend the Cottonwood Seventh-day Adventist Church?
A: We love meeting our online community, neighbors and out of town visitors. You don’t need to be a member to visit our church.
Join us on Saturday mornings for our Sabbath Bible Studies, Worship Service and Fellowship Meal. Please visit our church events and calendar for additional fellowship and study opportunities.
Q: May non members participate in the Lord’s Supper?
A: Adventist’s practice open communion. All who accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior are invited to take part.

To learn more, enrollment in one of the Bible Studies on the website is recommended where you learn, not just about us, but about our Lord, Jesus Christ. You are welcome to attend an Adventist Church near you for first hand experience.
Q: Are students at the Verde Valley Adventist School required to be members of the Seventh-day Adventist church?
A: Our school welcomes students of all faiths, denomination and belief systems.

Adventist’s believe a Trinity of three persons—the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit—make up one God. They made salvation possible when Jesus, the Son, came to earth as a baby in Bethlehem and lived a sinless life in accordance with the Father’s will. When Jesus was crucified for the sins of the people of the world and arose from the dead on the third day, victory was won for everyone.
When He returned to heaven following the resurrection, Jesus left the Holy Spirit to serve as our Comforter and Counselor. He promised to return to earth a second time to complete His plan of salvation and take His people to heaven. Adventist’s are among the believers who look forward to that day.
Adventist’s believe that God is concerned with the quality of human life, and that everything—the way we live, eat, speak, think, treat each other, and care for the world around us—is part of His plan. Our families, our children, our jobs, our talents, our money, and our time are all important to Him.
